Thank you for your interest and appreciation for the ancient practice of yoga founded by Indian Yogis over 5000 years ago. Yoga teaches us how to live in harmony and peace. It is the science to bring body, mind, and spirit in tune with the nature. The popular Asanas or Yoga postures are merely the doors to the fulfilling and much deeper practice of yoga.
 
Yoga Day Vancouver was created to promote International Day of Yoga and Yoga in general. The Yoga Day Events not only brings awareness in the community but provides an opportunity to people to experience Yoga for free since most events organized related to International Day of Yoga are free. Yoga is more than just the Asanas or Yoga postures but it is a good start if we start practicing Yoga Postures everyday to achieve better health.
 
I truly believe that Yoga can help everyone to lead a healthy & brighter life. I sincerely hope that everyone in the Vancouver area benefits through this initiative. This is a small step towards a healthier and blissful world.
